FROM THE GHETTO TO EUROPE
In 2023, CSPRO Academy achieved one of its biggest milestones when our coach and two of our most promising players visited the Czech Republic as part of the European Football Education Program (EFEP). This trip was more than just an overseas journey – it was a stepping stone to a brighter future for our players, offering them exposure to high-level European football, international coaching methods, and invaluable networking opportunities.
THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Our head coach, Musset Zengeni, had the incredible opportunity to learn directly from Lars Friis, head coach of AC Sparta Prague, a club currently competing in the UEFA Champions League.
Through this experience, Coach Musset gained fresh insights into player development, training methodologies, and the standards required for football at the highest levels. This knowledge is now being shared with CSPRO Academy’s youth, inspiring a new generation of ghetto talent with European football expertise.

THE PLAYER'S JOURNEY
The trip wasn’t just a learning experience for our coach. Two of our most talented young players were given the chance to train in an elite European environment, competing alongside top Czech football talents. This international exposure was eye-opening, and one of the players, upon returning to Zimbabwe, immediately secured a loan deal with a local Premier League club.
This is a testament to the life-changing impact of the visit, showing how international experience can fast-track a player’s development and open up real career opportunities.

THE RIPPLE EFFECT ON CSPRO
The success of this trip extends beyond just the individuals who visited Europe. The lessons learned and experiences gained are being shared across the entire academy. Our players are more motivated than ever, and the local community is starting to see the tangible benefits of investing in youth football.
Thanks to the generosity of AC Sparta Prague, who provided training equipment and some financial support, we’ve been able to bring part of that European experience back to Zimbabwe. However, the academy is still largely funded personally by Costa Nhamoinesu, and we’re looking for more ways to sustain and grow this vision.
LOOKING FORWAD
This EFEP visit was a pivotal moment in the journey of CSPRO Academy. It was proof that no matter the background, with the right opportunities and support, ghetto youths can achieve great things on a global scale. We are incredibly proud of this achievement, but it’s just the beginning. With your support, we can continue opening doors for talented young players and help them reach their full potential.
